A Wonderful First Week
Wow! What a wonderful first two weeks and I am loving my new role at Pine Grove. It is such a joy to spend time in each classroom seeing all the wonderful things the teachers have prepared for your child to participate in.
Although the heat seems to bother the teachers more than the children, we have been trying to stay cool with lots of water play so make sure you keep an extra change of clothes at school for your child.
The children have been walking on balance beams, playing with green sand, bubbles, chalk, paint and diligently moving rocks in little buckets all over the playground.
I had to laugh as one day a group of boys found an earthworm while digging in the rocks. There was an intense flurry of excitement as they filled a bucket with rocks and water in an effort to create a "Worm Habitat".
The teachers are working on a Creation Unit and most have started letter "A". This month we will also be spending time learning about Johnny appleseed and tasting green, yellow, and red apples.
I am thankful for the opportunity to serve your family and most of all your child. Please pray for our teachers as they diligently work with the children God has blessed our school with.
God Bless,
Janet

Pre-K Graduation
We had such a nice night at the Spring Sing and Pre-K Graduation. Of course, we were extremely proud of the children for their dazzling performances. We just wanted to once again congratulate our graduates and wish them God's blessings for Kindergarten!

Honoring Moms and Dads at Pinegrove
The kids really enjoyed the chance to show their love and appreciation for their parents over the past few weeks. Our Donuts with Dad days and Muffins with Mom days were both a lot of fun. Besides the joy of blessing you with gifts, songs and treats, the kids also really love having you come to their school and see what they have been doing. So thank you for taking time out of your busy lives in the middle of the week in order to spend time with your little ones.

Mini Masters Art Nite
Once again, our Mini-Masters Art Nite was a huge success. Thank you all for coming and sharing that special time with your children. This is one of the few events during the year when all the teachers, students and parents gather all at once, and it is a wonderful community builder. Your children have a lot of artistic talent, so it behooves us to present it to you in a gallery style so it can really be appreciated, and you have a chance to encourage them and build up their confidence. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
