Valentine's Day Party

Our Valentine's Day parties were sweet, fun, and full of LOVE!

Once again, we thank everyone for making our celebration a big success! I think we have finally honed the craft of the sign up sheet! Everything we needed was here and there was not a lot of waste leftover!

Fun in Pre-K

In Mrs. Adams' Pre-K class, we like to get silly.

We also like to get messy while we learn. Sometimes that just means getting our hands in shaving cream.

Tactile learning is actually a really good way for children to learn letters. By drawing the letters in shaving cream and then erasing it and repeating, their brains are using one more of their 5 senses to learn the shape of the letter. The experience of the squishy, foamy feeling makes it memorable! (But mostly, we just do it for fun!)

More Fun With Kindermusik

I just had to post some photos from our second Kindermusik class with Kelly Taylor. This is so much fun!

Valentine's Day Parties

Our Valentine's Day Parties are scheduled next week for Tuesday the 14th and Wednesday the 15th. I just wanted to point out that this is changed from the days shown on our website calendar. Remember to check your class sign up sheet to see if there is anything you can bring to make the party special. And don't forget to help your child bring Valentine cards for their class. Bring enough for the teachers to help them distribute, but don't put names of classmates on them. See my previous post or ask a teacher for the number of students in your child's class.

President's Day Closure

Just another reminder that Pine Grove Preschool will be closed for President's Day, Monday February 20. We will resume our regular school schedule on Tuesday, February 21.

Valentine's Day Parties

We are looking forward to Valentine's Day Parties on Tuesday, Feb. 14 and Wednesday, Feb. 15. Sign up sheets are hanging near the parent sign-ins in each class. Check and see what your child's class still needs!
Because we don't send out lists of classmates, we'd appreciate it if you help your child sign enough Valentine cards for each member of the class, but leave the TO area blank. Teachers will help them distribute their cards to each classmate.

The following are the number of students in each class:

Mrs. Eis - 9

Mrs. Dougan - 14

Mrs. Prettyman - 14

Mrs. Adams - 12

If you have any questions, just ask a teacher!

Kindermusik Comes to Pine Grove Preschool

Tuesday was our first day doing Kindermusik with Mrs. Kelly Taylor! This music and movement program integrates pre-literacy, pre-math, and social-emotional skills into the fun of music. The kids were totally captivated for the entire 30 minutes she spent with each class! We will be enjoying Kindermusik twice a month, and it will alternate between Tuesdays and Wednesdays so that all the students have the opportunity to be a part of this special class. Thank you, Miss Kelly, for sharing your talented voice and your fun program with us!
